The University of Edinburgh

The Digital Imaging Unit is the photography department for Edinburgh University Main Library & Collections. Information about the services we provide can be found at ed.ac.uk/schools-departments/information-services/services/library-museum-gallery/crc/copying-digitisation or if you’d just like to browse some of our images go to images.is.ed.ac.uk. You can also find a selection of our images on Flickr.

The DIU photographers are Susan Pettigrew & Malcolm Brown, and every week we have beautiful and fascinating books, manuscripts and objects passing through the department for digitisation. For the past two years we have been developing our Moving Image work. The results of which you can view on this site.
