Dharatal Despatch

Welcome to Dharatal Despatch

“Dharatal” means “the ground” in Hindi. Dharatal Despatch is a digital media platform dedicated to grassroots issues, unheard voices and discussions that matter to India.

Led by Dr. Shipra Mathur, a journalist and writer with over three decades of experience, the platform focuses on public service, solutions, social transformation and responsible journalism.

Our core focus is rural India, women, youth, farmers, small towns and communities often overlooked in mainstream discourse. Through ground reports, documentaries, interviews and factual analysis, we aim to bridge knowledge gaps and encourage informed conversations.

We also explore public policy, governance, social development and global perspectives wherever relevant.

We welcome ideas and contributions from responsible, rational and thoughtful citizens.
