Having experienced the transformative power of dance along her career as a Principal Dancer, Catherine Habasque dreamt of using it as a tool for empowerment and resilience. She founded Dancers For the World with nothing, out of a dream. It rapidly grew into the first show she conceived to finance the humanitarian action.

She imagined the artistic productions with the same impulse as the humanitarian work: creating what did not yet exist. That is how the shows were born, as immersive experiences in a magical setting, with no frontier between artists and audience. Each production became a world of its own, bringing together international artists from dance, music & opera.

Today, the productions and the humanitarian activities continue to grow side by side, with the belief that dance fosters physical and mental health, cultivates resilience & supports peace-building through independent & creative human beings.
