Theatre of Compassion with Debra De Liso

Debra De Liso is an award-winning actor, director, choreographer, writer, and teacher known for transforming lives through the power of theatre. With over 800 one-person plays directed at AADA, USC, and beyond, Debra has worked in prisons, with artists with disabilities, and underserved communities worldwide. She’s the recipient of the LA Women’s Theatre Festival’s Rainbow Award for her work in diverse and multicultural theatre. Her directing credits include Cock Tales, Necessary Targets, and Abducted in the Heartland. As an actor, she’s starred in Agnes of God, A Streetcar Named Desire, and more. A passionate educator at AADA and USC since the '90s, Debra empowers students to create compassionate, original work.
