Debol Anbessa | ደቦል አንበሳ

ደቦል አንበሳ (Debol Anbessa) is Hylu's physical and digital project documenting his life and work in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia - part zine, part vinyl, part video series.

This channel is the video side of the project: documentary shorts about Hylu's story, music videos, interviews and studio snippets - often the soundtrack to the story itself.

Hylu is the recording name of Adam Ainley, a sound artist and producer of mixed heritage (Ethiopian & English). His instrumental, bass-driven electronic music draws on dub, reggae, dancehall, hip-hop and jungle.

Music and story by Adam Ainley (Hylu). Art direction & video by James Stirzaker (Latent Variables).
