Debbie Almontaser

Debbie Almontaser is the author of "Leading While Muslim". She is the founding member and former principal of Khalil Gibran International Academy. 

Her company "Bridging Cultures Group INC" works towards a system of inclusive education and equality for Muslims in America. 

She taught special education, inclusion, trained teachers in literacy, and serves as a multicultural specialist and diversity advisor.

She was also a doctoral student at Fordham University's Graduate School of Education in the Urban School Leadership Program and the Board Chairperson of the Muslim Consultative Network.
