Db2 for i MCP Server

Videos about the Db2 for i MCP Server, an open-source Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets Claude, Cursor and other AI assistants read Db2 for i.

Ask your IBM i in plain language. The server is read-only by design: a read-only connection, a SQL validator and a library allowlist. It works through the host servers your IBM i already runs, or over SSH.

Here: short overviews, walkthroughs for IBM i teams, and what changes in each release.
