David Githu Gathimba, fondly known as GG, is a Gold Level Kenya Professional Safari Guide and has worked for world renowned operators such as Abercrombie & Kent, Destination Kenya, Vintage Africa. These experiences led him to pursue more opportunities in his home country of Kenya at Cottars 1920s Camp, naturalist and host to thousands each day on YouTube fans on private game drives while broadcast on Natgeo’s Safarilive channel. He currently owns and runs his own business where you can organize escorted private tours with him or trust him to design an escorted journey, all fully customizable. 

Throughout the two decades committed to safari work, GG has traveled widely throughout North, East and Southern Africa doing over a thousand safaris as a tour director, private guide and lecturer. GG has also worked on location as a guide in the film ‘To Walk with the Lions’ featuring Richard Harris as George Adamson and has participated in many bird counts during World Bird Watch Days.
