General & Earth Science Topics: Talks in Telugu

The Channel comprises the talks given by Dr. Dasu Atchuta Rao in Telugu.     

Dasu Atchuta Rao obtained M.Sc.(Tech.) and Ph.D. (Geophysics) degrees from Andhra University. After working for a year at TIFR, Bombay, he joined CSIR-NGRI, Hyderabad in 1963 and retired as a Senior Scientist & Deputy Director in 1999. From 1974 to 76, he was a Post Doctoral Fellow at the University Of Adelaide, South Australia under a Colombo Plan Fellowship. He visited several countries, including USA, UK, and Australia, attending international scientific conferences. He served as the Honorary Secretary of the IGU for the years 1983 -93 and is a Fellow of the GSI and AEG (India). Dr. Rao's talks in Telugu on Science and Earth Science subjects are regularly broadcasted on AIR, Hyderabad, and in English on UGC Class Room programs on Doordarshan (TV). He is a freelance writer. His articles on science subjects, literary and cultural topics are published both in Telugu & English in reputed journals.
