CRHnews Radio City

This YT Channel is dedicated to the memory of Marconi's 'forgotten' World's First Wireless Factory, at Hall Street, Chelmsford, Essex, UK. which equipped Titanic and 100s of liners with life saving Radio/Wireless Rooms manned by company officers.

Our hopes had been to convert the last remaining original room in Hall Street for STEM clubs to enthuse future girls and boys to become rocket scientists, engineers and the next Marconi - but we were failed by Chelmsford City Council.

The world's first wireless/radio factory, founded by the Great Man in 1898, was gutted and all its original fittings skipped.

Neglected and forlorn, Cfd Council's Sandford Mill Industrial Storage facility was closed to visitors during Lockdown, its Marconi Veteran volunteers manning its 'living museum' ordered to go, never to reopen - its former water company buildings will become yet more flats when planned huge housing estate despoils much of this beautiful river valley.
