My Own Compass is a self-reflection tool that asks you questions instead of giving you answers.

You build a personal foundation first. The app turns that into a map on your own phone, and the questions that follow come from your material, not from an average. You do the answering.

Everything runs on the device. The model that writes them sits inside the app. No account, no cloud, no telemetry, nothing leaves your phone. Easiest way to check: turn on airplane mode and use it.

One-time purchase, no subscription, no ads, no in-app purchases. Seven languages, iOS and Android. Also known as Mijn Eigen Kompas.

I'm Kevin Drouen. I served twenty-three years in the Dutch armed forces and deployed abroad. For six years I administered assessments, handing people a fixed label. Nobody was the same in March as in November, so I spent four years building the opposite, alone, next to a full-time job.

Videos about the app, about reflection, and about building alone.
