Conan & Camila Rau

We are Conan & Camila Rau, independent authors of atmospheric crime fiction and creators of the Oskar Qvist series.
Our stories bring together mystery, human complexity, meticulous research, and a cinematic approach to storytelling.
We believe that memorable fiction grows from more than imagination alone. Geography, nature, culture, and the smallest details of human behavior can transform a fictional world into something vivid and believable.
On this channel, we explore the worlds behind our stories.
Expect cinematic glimpses into our fiction, landscapes and wildlife that inspire us, insights into the writing process, and occasional journeys into the research and creative decisions behind our novels.
Our first published novel, The Silent Cascade, introduces Oskar Qvist and the world of the series.
We invite you to discover the stories — and the real-world details that help shape them.
