Pro Anima Scientific Committee

A pioneer in France, the Pro Anima (from the Latin for breath, life) Scientific Committee was created in 1989 by Christiane LAUPIE-KOECHLIN under the honorary chairmanship of Professor Théodore Monod.

Its various activities work towards the same goal, which is to contribute to greater recognition and acceptance of innovative alternative technologies to animals (or NAMs, such as organs-on-a-chip, artificial intelligence, etc.) centered on human data and scientifically validated. To support the transition to non-animal research, we seek to encourage dialogue between all stakeholders (industry, researchers, legislators/regulators and civil society). With exponential growth and the international creation of major public and private research institutes and programs, these new technologies have the potential to revolutionize biomedical research and drug development.
