Cold Trails Wilderness Mysteries

True wilderness mysteries from the American backcountry: Appalachian encounters, park ranger reports, cryptid sightings and missing persons cases that were never solved.

Every week we open one case file: hikers who vanished on open trails, rangers whose reports never reached the official record, and witnesses who saw something in the Appalachians, Yosemite, the Cascades and the Smoky Mountains that no one can explain. Long-form, researched, sourced.

WHERE TO START
- Appalachian Monsters & Encounters
- Park Ranger Files
- Vanished Without a Trace: Dennis Martin, Polly Melton, Amy Bechtel, Kenny Veach
- Cryptids of America: Bigfoot, Skinwalker Ranch, the Pine Barrens
