Cardano (ADA) is a third-generation blockchain platform designed to provide a more secure, scalable, and sustainable foundation for decentralized applications and smart contracts. Launched in 2017 and founded by Ethereum co-founder Charles Hoskinson, Cardano is built on peer-reviewed academic research and evidence-based development.

Unlike many blockchains, Cardano uses a unique Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism called Ouroboros, which is energy-efficient and environmentally friendly while maintaining strong security. The Cardano ecosystem focuses on long-term scalability, interoperability, and real-world adoption.

ADA, the native cryptocurrency of Cardano, is used for transaction fees, staking, governance, and securing the network. Cardano aims to empower individuals, governments, and enterprises by enabling transparent, low-cost, and decentralized financial systems world
