Chermside & Districts Historical Society

Welcome to the Chermside & Districts Historical Society, where we believe that “preserving our past is our future”.

Since 1998, we’ve been dedicated to capturing and sharing the history of Brisbane’s northside. Our society serves the old Kedron Shire Council area, covering 18 suburbs from Bridgeman Downs to Boondall, and Bald Hills to Kedron. Here, we keep the stories of local families, historic landmarks, and significant events alive for all to explore.

Our volunteers are here to help with family history research, maintain archives from local organisations, schools and families, and provide a place for our community to connect with its roots. Visit us at the Chermside Historical Precinct on the first Sunday of each month, or contact us to schedule a time to explore our archives.
