Chelsea Makes Art

Hi, I’m Chelsea!

I'm a visual artist and educator currently living in Seattle with my husband, son and two cats. I'm originally from Chicago, but lived and worked in London, UK for the start of my career. My art blends social justice activism and my love of plants and animals - especially goats and cats. I also love to make portraits of pets!

I received a BFA in Art Education from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2008 and studied at Goldsmiths University of London with a concentration in printmaking and photography. I have also taken courses at the School of the Art Institute Chicago and Central Saint Martins UAL.

In my free time I like to spend time with my family, try to keep my houseplants alive, volunteer with animals and bake.
