The Centre for Law and the Environment (CLE) is a hub at the Peter A. Allard School of Law for creating and spreading knowledge, ideas and practices about the role of law in securing a healthy environment and a sustainable society.

VISION: The CLE is an internationally recognized hub for creating and spreading knowledge, ideas and practices at the Allard School of Law, across UBC and with wider communities about the role of law in securing a healthy environment and a sustainable society.

FOCUS
The CLE has three main focus areas: 
1. Advancing research about law and the environment by Allard faculty members, students and visitors; 
2. Enhancing environmental law education at Allard and beyond; and 
3. Promoting action toward environmental justice and sustainability through various public-facing activities.
