Cássio Ferreira & Rodrigo Chenta

A duo formed by Cássio Ferreira and Rodrigo Chenta in March 2017, specializing in spontaneous instrumental music. The saxophone dialogues with the guitar in both idiomatic and non-idiomatic improvisations (free improvisation).

The only rule is that there are no rules, and through interaction, the two musicians construct and deconstruct their music in the moment of its respective performance. Besides playing conventionally, they also use extended techniques that promote diverse timbre possibilities.

Nothing is premeditated, and the atmospheres produced in real time and the form of the music created on the spot deserve special mention.

The duo understands that improvisation doesn't come from nothing. Each, along with their musical backgrounds, seeks to create music through interactions where listening and respect are highly valued.

They have two independent CDs titled "31 | 36" (2017) and "15" (2018).
