Blugeist

Desert groove guitar, somewhere between Manu Chao, Marc Ribot's Los Cubanos and the trance of desert blues. From Canada to Germany, Blugeist chases the memory of wide open spaces.

At age 10, in his small French Canadian town, his eccentric uncle briefs him on UFO lore and the nature of the universe. His world suddenly grows scarily bigger. It takes years for the angst to mature into fascination. Those themes run deep through his music, hidden in the titles, buried in the grooves.

He records and produces his tracks between long trail runs, in his Berlin apartment.
