Blue Heron Tiospaye

Honoring Ceremonial & Ecological Teachings

Blue Heron Tióšpaye is an American Indian 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring and carrying forward the ceremonial, cultural, and ecological teachings of American Indian peoples.

Our work creates sustainable spaces where American Indian culture, ceremony, and traditional knowledge remain present and vital in our relationships with the land, wildlife, and one another. Through land stewardship, cultural gatherings, Buffalo Nation care, ecological restoration, and intergenerational learning, we work to strengthen connections between culture, community, and the land.

Tióšpaye is a Lakota/Dakota term rooted in extended family, kinship, and community. That understanding guides our responsibility to care for one another, our land, our relatives, and future generations.

Follow our journey as Blue Heron Tióšpaye continues to grow, learn, restore, and carry these teachings forward.
