BlaueZebra

You arrive in Germany knowing nobody. At the registration office, the clerk speaks fast, the form makes no sense, and even Guten Morgen in a shop feels like a test.

That is where Jakub starts. He is a Polish engineer building a life from zero. Across 27 chapters and 228 scenes, you follow him through the situations waiting for you too: the Anmeldung, the Ausländerbehörde, banking, housing, work, doctors, emergencies and family life.

Each scene pairs a 25-second video with a printable A4 worksheet. Watch it, print it and fill it in by hand. About 15 minutes a day. Every vocabulary item appears in the dialogue, with translations into English, Spanish, Russian and Turkish.

The course teaches 1,596 carefully selected vocabulary items and includes 117 practical facts about life in Germany, each with a source.

Do one scene tomorrow, then the next. Soon, the counter at the Bürgeramt will feel less intimidating.

The course is free, with no app or account required.
