BIS, Biodiversity Information Service

BIS is the Biodiversity Information Service for Powys and Brecon Beacons National Park. We collect, collate, manage and distribute wildlife records and protected sites information for this area. 
We work collaboratively with partners and volunteers such as vice-county recorders, fully taking into account their expertise and knowledge. 
Along with information supplied by the public, we rely heavily on recorders and other partners who supply the bulk of the records we manage.  We support our existing recorders and partners via technical advice and training, and work with them to encourage new biological recorders to become part of the BIS family.
