Billie’s Sewing Corner

A New York City tax lawyer learning to sew (mainly for work) in her non-billable time using fabrics made from compostable fibers in an effort to live a more natural life and to reduce the impact on the environment/wildlife/human lives from my fashion choices.

I share what I have learned about different fabric choices, correcting fitting issues, sewing/patterning techniques and design considerations that go into a well-made garment that fits well and suits the personal style of the wearer. This means that my videos tend to be more technical than a typical sew-and-tell video. So be forewarned! 😜

In the description box for each video, you will find the price breakdown and where I sourced the fabrics/notions, etc. I wish to demonstrate that a carefully-made garment using high-quality fabrics does not have to be costly.

My measurements (for UK 8, EU 34 or US -0- generally)
- height = 5’5” (165 cm)
- bust = 32A (81 cm A cup)
- waist = 26” (66 cm)
- hip = 35” (89 ccm)
