Raising Bilingual Babies in Talk (RaBBiT) 

Raising Bilingual Babies in Talk (RaBBiT) aims to promote early bilingualism in Singapore. 

Child language acquisition takes place in early years primarily through everyday social interactions with parents and caregivers. Thus, parents and caregivers play a pivotal role in cultivating an environment that supports the development and maintenance of bilingualism in children from birth. However, parents in Singapore may face some difficulties or have questions on this topic. Through a series of research-informed educational videos and accompanying printed materials. 

The project RaBBiT will provide parents with scientific information, implementation tips and guidance in order to enhance their knowledge on early bilingualism and support them in raising bilingual children. The focus is placed on bilingual development of children under 6 years old in Singapore. This project is supported and funded by Lee Kuan Yew Fund for Bilingualism Programme Office, Ministry of Education, Singapore.
