Finding Whimsy,
The Slow Burn of Becoming
(A Visual Memoir)

Based in Vancouver, BC, Finding Whimsy explores Bhavjot Kang’s return to joy alongside a renewed relationship with ambition, productivity, & purpose. After years shaped by pain, burnout, depression, fear, & necessary rest, this memoir follows the process of coming back to life while rebuilding.

Through reflections on daily routines, self-care, creative practice, & disciplined rest, Finding Whimsy reframes hustle as sustainable & self-respecting. Productivity becomes a tool for alignment rather than escape, & ambition is pursued with care & balance. Healing is nonlinear, but direction slowly returns.

It’s about learning to want more without losing yourself, pursuing purpose & relationships without self-abandonment, & building a meaningful life that honours both softness & drive. Finding Whimsy is not just a return to joy but also a conscious choice to move forward, fully alive & aligned.
