Beyond the Leaf | Ambient Sounds

Welcome to Beyond the Leaf, a nature ambience channel filmed entirely by me, Jay, in real outdoor locations across the British countryside.

I create extended nature films capturing orchards, wildflower meadows, woodland edges, streams and other quiet corners of the landscape through changing seasons, weather and light.

My nature films capture real countryside ambience, including birdsong, wind, water and the subtle sounds of the landscape. Where natural sound is featured, it is recorded while filming on location. Each film captures a different place and moment in nature, allowing the scene to unfold at its own pace.

All footage on Beyond the Leaf is filmed by me using my own camera equipment, including a Nikon Z8 with 20mm and 24-120mm NIKKOR lenses, alongside stereo field microphones for location audio. Films are presented in high-resolution 4K and 8K where available.
