Bengali Society of Queensland

In the spirit of reconciliation, the ‘Bengali Society of Queensland (BSQ)’ acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people today.

Knocking almost on its 25th year, BSQ is a Brisbane based not for profit organisation established in 1997. Founded by the Indian Bengalis, BSQ aims to keep up with the Bengali tradition outside home and share our culture with people from different backgrounds. We organise multiple events every year with the support from and participation by our members. With COVID-19 restricting us from organising events in our usual way, we kept our members connected through virtual programs.

The Bengali Society of Queensland, being the only Brisbane based cultural organisation of the Bengalis from India, promises to continue in all its glory in the future years to come.
