Bbanga Project

Bbanga Project is a non-profit organisation with registered entities in Uganda, Austria, and Germany.

Since 2014, we have been working to create long-term, community-driven change on the islands of Lake Victoria in Uganda’s Kalangala District.

Our work is built on three core pillars:
Education – ensuring access to quality learning opportunities for children in remote areas.
Climate Action – promoting sustainable practices and environmental resilience in vulnerable island communities.
Women Empowerment – supporting women and girls to build independent, self-determined lives.

All programs are developed in close collaboration with local communities and authorities and carried out by our Ugandan team on the ground. Together, we pursue practical, inclusive, and sustainable solutions that strengthen local structures and foster long-term impact.

Bbanga Project stands for partnership, transparency, and social justice. Connecting people and ideas across borders to build a better future.
