Battle Ensign

Battle Ensign tells the stories of the American warships everyone had written off: the old, the cheap, the obsolete ships that went into battle anyway and sank the enemy. Every video is built minute by minute from the U.S. Navy's own combat narratives, action reports and the Japanese and German records, with archive footage and photographs from the National Archives and the Naval History and Heritage Command (public domain). Present-day photographs are credited to their authors under Creative Commons licenses in each description.
