We live in a culture that creates shame to manipulate us.

Shame is the viewpoint that we are not good enough, that something is wrong with us.

Our culture bombards us with “ideals” of rich, gorgeous, powerful people who have it better than you, who are definitely happier than you, whom you should strive to be.

When we believe these lies, we are taken advantage of: it is easy to manipulate us into buying things (and ideas) that promise to take away our pain.

The result is that many of us are lost.
