Aussies in Okayama

Aussies exploring rural Japan 🇦🇺➡️🇯🇵

We’re Tony and David, travelling between Australia and Japan, documenting what it’s really like spending time in the Japanese countryside — from quiet backstreets and local train rides to buying and fixing up a traditional abandoned house (akiya / kominka).

With a focus on places like Tsuyama and the surrounding region, we share real, unfiltered experiences of rural Japan — and how it compares to life back in Australia.

On this channel you’ll find:
• Akiya / kominka (abandoned house) renovation and progress
• Rural Japan lifestyle and hidden gems
• Train journeys, bike rides, and walking tours
• Japan vs Australia comparisons
• Relaxing no talking videos
