Art by Poppet / Joanne Marie Real

Welcome to Art by Poppet! 🎨

I'm Joanne Marie Real, a British artist living and painting in the beautiful countryside of Andalucía, Spain.

After rediscovering my passion for art in 2025, I began a creative journey that has become an important part of my life.
Working primarily in acrylics, my paintings blend realism with abstraction, exploring emotion, light, texture and the beauty of the world around us. From expressive portraits and wildlife to landscapes and deeply personal pieces, every painting has its own story.

Here you'll discover behind-the-scenes videos, my creative process, new collections, exhibitions and the inspiration behind my artwork.

I believe art is more than something we see. It's something we feel.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. ❤️
