Arizona Black Life

Arizona Black Life is a project on Arizona Black History predating Statehood, up through the Great Migration, and into the 1970's. The majority of which is a focus on Central Arizona; however, we have substantive forays into the Sawmill Communities, Mining Communities, and the Military Communities of Northern, Eastern, and Southern Arizona. Arizona Black Life is based on a foundation of Literature Searches, Arizona Black Newspaper content/images, and ongoing Video Interviews. Arizona Black Life documents, preserves, and interprets the Black experience in Arizona - through memory, family, and place. Some of our earlier images and documents are of poor quality, and I apologize for those and all the hiccups, missteps, and mistakes of my creation. I may over-editorialize on occasion, and forgive me if I don't call it out when it happens. Please feel free to comment below, and when you do, also feel free to like, subscribe, and share.
