Marlon here. I’m a former software engineer now managing an (increasingly, slowly developing) self-reliant farm in the Klein Karoo (with my XO Alexia, and our friends Mark & Danica)

This is a record of refactoring a semi-arid ecosystem. I document the reality of off-grid power, water system logic, and infrastructure maintenance in a high-latency, high-heat environment.

Uploads happen when the farm is stable. No LARP'ing. View, don't view... we love you guys either way. We understand social media is parasitic and extractive, and I don't want to add to that mess. I hope there's something enjoyable here for you.
