Andreas Papas - Percussionist, official channel

Andreas Papas, began his musical career as a percussionist in 1975, playing the daouli (davul), the goblet drum, the frame drum (bendir), the tambourine and idiophones.  . Since 1983 he has been collaborating with ERT in both television and radio productions, playing music next to important Greek folk musicians.  Collaborated with the Athens Concert Hall in various productions and has taken part in Greek and international festivals (Womad, Athens Ethnic Jazz Festival etc).
Member of the Greek state orchestra under the direction of Stavros Xarhakos. Works with numerous traditional bands. He has participated in theatre and cinema recordings, in works of numerous artists orchestras, shows national and international festivals representing Greece and Greek traditional music. Teaches percussions in Athens, Greece.
