Assalamualaikum and a very good day.

Hai everyone! I am back with my short videos in my quest to promote Received Pronunciation (RP) in English. This is how the English words are being pronounced according to the dictionary based on the British pronunciation of the words.

Pronunciation has always been a skill that is often neglected in a speaking class. Although having an acceptable level of communicative competence is often considered as one of the goals of teaching speaking, having good pronunciation is hardly seen as the end outcome of a speaking class. Due to this, pronunciation has never been taught explicitly, nor have the learners been made aware of its importance in speaking.

At CoRPiEC, Centre of Received Pronunciation in English Communication, UiTM Perak Branch, Seri Iskandar Campus we promote Received pronunciation in English to improve the quality of pronunciation among our students.
