Ambrose Origins

Some things shouldn't be standing. And yet they are.

A country built below the sea. A wall four hundred kilometres long. A train that runs straight through a mountain. This channel is about how the impossible ones actually got built — the engineering, the money, the decades of argument, and the problems nobody solved until they had to.

I take one structure at a time and follow it from the first drawing to the day it opened, including the parts that went wrong.

Expect videos on:
• Megaprojects and record-breaking construction
• Tunnels, bridges, dams, and sea defences
• Landmark buildings and the histories inside them
• Engineering failures and what they taught us
• Infrastructure that reshaped whole countries

New videos every week.
