Beta ALW Care Coordination

Beta ALW Care Coordination helps families apply for California's Medi-Cal Assisted Living Waiver (ALW). DHCS lists us as a participating Care Coordination Agency. We are a program of Beta Hospice Care, Inc.

On this channel: short, plain explanations of how ALW works, who decides what, what it pays for and what it does not, and how the waitlist works, with dates and sources.

ALW pays an assisted-living home for a person's care. It does not pay for room and board. DHCS decides eligibility and releases openings. No agency can move a name up the waitlist.

We work with families in all 15 counties where the waiver runs, in English and Spanish.
