Alex Muddy Smith - Rhythm Never Retires

Music, books, photographs, stories—and how I make them.
I’m Alex “Muddy” Smith, a singer, songwriter, guitarist, author, photographer, longtime RVer, and working musician who is still performing, creating, and learning at 75.
Here you’ll find my original songs and the stories behind how I wrote them, singing and guitar playing, books I’ve written and what I learned making them, photography, and stories from a lifetime of playing music and wandering around.
I’ll also share some of the things I’ve learned along the way—about singing, songwriting, performing, writing books, taking pictures, getting gigs, and occasionally figuring things out the hard way.
Mostly, though, this is about continuing to create, no matter how old you are.
Rhythm Never Retires.
Two simple rules: Do what you like, and don’t worry about the outcome.
