Traveling Caricature Artist | Alan Sideen

Alan Sideen is a self taught artist learning portraiture from a hard cover book in 1998.

In January 1st, 2000 Alan opened up his own art studio titled “Pencil Portraits by Al” in the Grain Exchange Building downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba. Alan taught night school as well for the beginning artist.

Having found a way to teach students by using foundational shapes such as a circle , square and triangle, Alan became a self published artist by creating his own “Learn How to Draw with Uncle Louie the Millwright” in 2009. These 16 pocket size books were put into four different age and grade groups.

Alan presently teaches online classes to once again the beginning artist in mind.

Today Alan is helping organizations with their employees creativity. Developing new products is always left to "the department down the hall". While organizations search for "a better mouse trap", the new product can't be seen "for the forest for the tree".

Alan looks forward to hearing from you!
