Alliance on Infectious Diseases in Africa (AIDA) is an international nonprofit dedicated to preventing deadly infectious disease outbreaks before they spread beyond local communities and threaten global populations.

Most pandemics do not begin in major cities. They begin in rural and remote communities where detection is limited and response is delayed. AIDA works at that point of origin; strengthening surveillance, enabling rapid reporting, supporting containment, advancing research, and building resilient communities.

Our work spans across Africa, with strategic focus in regions where early intervention has the greatest global impact. By stopping outbreaks at the source, we protect lives locally and safeguard global health security.
