AGENTS Project

The AGENTS (Amazon Governance to Enable Transformation to Sustainability) project is a research consortium financed by the Belmont Forum and NORFACE, gathering senior researchers from six institutions: the University of Amsterdam, Stockholm University, the Swedish University for Agricultural Sciences, Indiana University, the University of Colorado, and the University of Campinas. The project will carry out its activities between 2019 and 2022, seeking to evaluate promising individual and collective transformations involving land-use practices in the Amazon basin, including conditions that promote or inhibit the reconciliation of environmental conservation and agricultural production.
