BRIEF HISTORICAL BACKGROUND 
Africa is endowed with enormous natural and mineral resources yet she is considered and projected as the poorest continent in the world. What a paradox! Africa has been the home of western imperialism, exploitation, extortion, colonialism and currently experiencing neocolonialism. Our continent and our people for over a century have been subjected to human degradation and suffering because the West and her allies have deliberately and systematically looted Africa of her human, natural and mineral resources.
