Acid Survivors Trust International

Acid Survivors Trust International (ASTI) is a UK based not-for-profit charity (no. 1154961) working to end acid violence globally and ensure survivors live with dignity and without fear. 

We were founded in 2002 and helped create local foundations in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Nepal and Pakistan. ASTI has partnered with the United Nations and the British Government on projects in Pakistan, Uganda, Nepal, and Cambodia. 

ASTI’s key areas of focus are awareness raising, education and prevention. Our work includes: 
- Conducting necessary research to ensure an evidence-based approach to activities.
- Educating and raising awareness on the risks and consequences of acid violence. 
- Advocating to introduce laws to prevent easy access to dangerous corrosive substances, thereby preventing attacks.
