A Banjo Makes 3

In the magical world of Old Growth Redwoods and The Legendary Bigfoot, A Banjo makes 3 was born. An upright bass, guitar and banjo joined forces for a bluegrass band in the Humboldt music scene. After a few open jams, Doc Woglom was recruited on the mandolin. An Art Professor at Cal Poly Humboldt University and hailing from New Jersey, Doc brings a chop and lonesome vocals to make a true traditional bluegrass band. Guitarist Charlie Sleep has an extensive background in jazz and music theory. After being introduced to Tony Rice, bluegrass nestled into his heart. After attending a master class with the influential David Grier, flatpicking was in his hands. Kevin Ralston of Cedar Rapids, Iowa makes us a true bluegrass band with his 3- 3-finger Scruggs style picking. A proud member of the California Bluegrass Association we have Larisa on bass.
