On the Road to Underdevelopment (EVS)

Em Vias de Subdesenvolvimento (EVS), or On the Road to Underdevelopment, is an analytical project built around a central question: why do some countries not fail by accident, but instead function consistently in the direction of underdevelopment?

The channel explores underdevelopment as a system — the result of institutions, incentives, and historical trajectories that reproduce themselves over time.

While it begins with Mozambique, EVS adopts a comparative perspective, engaging with cases from Africa, Latin America, and Asia.

The aim is not simply to explain one country, but to understand a broader phenomenon: how underdevelopment is produced, reproduced, and sustained.
