A#

A# is a powerhouse collective, made up of Alberta Balsam, Bastian Benjamin, French II, and Milio. Four artists who are all respected names in their own right. They made waves with their unique, fully improvised live set at Draaimolen Festival 2024.

How can less be more? In this case, four is certainly more. Their performances are an unpredictable journey through glitchy breaks, hard-hitting techno, dreamy arpeggios, deep, wobbly bass, and topped off with spontaneous live vocals. Each set evolves organically, surprising the audience just as much as the performers surprise each other. The result is a constantly shifting sonic adventure through techno, ambient, bass, IDM, and electro, making their show as fun to watch as it is for them to create.

The group embodies a raw, no-nonsense approach, where instinct reigns supreme. The quartet often performs right in the heart of the crowd, gathered around a table of knobs and cables, keeping you on edge with every twist and turn.
