Yasin Choudry, MD

Welcome. I am Dr. Yasin Choudry, a board-certified psychiatrist with nearly thirty years of clinical experience across inpatient & outpatient units, residential addiction treatment facilities, academic medical centers, and forensic settings.

This channel is for high-functioning professionals, deep thinkers, and sensitive individuals wrestling with chronic anxiety, depression, complex developmental trauma, burnout, and self-medication.

We reframe compulsive coping (alcohol, drugs, porn, overwork, digital numbing) not as a moral failure or lack of willpower, but as an urgent protective attempt by an exhausted nervous system to chemically manage unbearable internal dysregulation.

Here, we focus on root-cause healing using evolutionary biology, Polyvagal theory, somatic experiencing, Internal Family Systems, and existential psychotherapy to help you move from chronic survival to authentic living.
