Wingfoiling Noosa Rivermouth, Lakes, And Beaches

G’day, I’m Ian – aka The Wizard! I’ve been winging around the Noosa area for the past five years. I’m no pro – just a passionate intermediate wingnut who’s totally hooked on the sport.

Just before turning 65, I took lessons with George at Adventure Sports. Once I got up on foil, I the addiction kicked in!  After some time on Lake Weyba, (best place to learn) I moved on to the Rivermouth, then out into Laguna Bay and even Mooloolaba. I’m chasing swell and I'm still learning more every day.

PPS. The name? I used to watch from the rocks like a Meerkat. Then I got good at predicting wind. The Wizard Meerkat nickname stuck—and I’m rolling with it.
